Our Team
Our team, Graeme, Wendy, Peter & Colin have been guiding in the Pemberton area for many years and offer visitors to the area a personalised and guided experience of the national parks. Wendy’s Bug and Frog tours are a great addition to families returning to Pemberton. Toni, Renata and John together with Junior Guides Cameron, Kieran and Georgia are a large part of the team and with the Pemberton Discovery Centre opposite the YHA in Pemberton, they will all offer many other nature based eco activities for locals and visitors to Pemberton. Graeme Dearle has been owner operator of Pemberton Discovery Tours since its conception in October 1999. Prior to this the 15 years at his previous job as senior Field Technician meant his 4WD and coordinating skills are highly developed. We approximate that Graeme has done over 2,500 tours in the Pemberton area - and no he still loves his job and thinks he has the best office around! Wendy Eiby has been a big part of the team since late 2003 and in 2004 when a little bump made tours very interesting along came Georgia! Wendy has over 10 years guiding experience in the Pemberton area and over 20 nationwide. She is an environmental scientist who has a huge passion for the outdoors! Her Bugs and Frog tours are a great way for families to experience the forest and it's little critters! And what she doesnt know about fungi or wildflowers doesn't leave a lot! Colin Britza has been a great friend to the whole community and loves to take people out on the tours. He has been guiding with us for the past 3 years and enjoys every experience. We are family owned and operated, Toni (Me) has been given the gracious job description of Shop B$&% - my job is to make your stay here in Pemberton as pleasant and interactive as possible and of course to make sure you do one of our tours! I am totally supported by John and Renata (aka Mum and Dad) who are supposed to be semiretired. However John (aka Dad) makes the best Anzac cookies and Date loaf around - recipes are available here. And Renata (aka Mum) supports us in the Shop whenever she can - and also as a great Grandma to the Junior Guides. |
